T-Mobile, America’s fourth largest wireless phone provider, is primarily used by contract customers; however, the company offers a couple of Prepaid plans worthy of perusal.
Like Verizon Wireless, there are no prepaid monthly access plans offered by T-Mobile accounts for their rather low rankings in our side by side review.
Daily Plans
T-Mobile offers just one prepaid daily access plan but it’s among the best. The plan costs $1 daily on days that the phone is used plus $.10 a minute. One of the plans strongest points of the plan is that it includes free night calling from a generous 7:00PM to 7:00AM. T-Mobile to T-Mobile calls are also free of additional charges.
Pay-as-You-Go
The per minute cost of pay-as-you-go service from T-Mobile varies depending on the amount of airtime purchased. You can purchase as little as 30 minutes of airtime for $10 but that equates to a hefty $.333 per minute. Other option include 130 minutes for $25 ($.192/minute) and 400 minutes for $50 ($.125/minute). Minutes purchased in each of these options remain in effect for 90 days. The best deal comes if you spend $100 for 1,000 minutes. Because of T-Mobile’s Gold Rewards program, this qualifies for a 15 percent bonus, effectively giving you 1,150 minutes for $100 or $.087 per minute. Another benefit of this option is that airtime purchased this way remains available for a year.
