Features:

3-Way Calling

You can talk with two people at the same time with a three-way conversation on your wireless phone. Airtime and other charges, which may include toll or long distance charges, will apply for all simultaneous calls until you end one call.

Not Available in some areas.

Airtime applies to all simultaneous calls and to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones.

411 Connect®

Directory assistance with automatic call completion. An operator will assist you when you request numbers, addresses and information for anything from restaurants and movies to the nearest florist. Simply press 4-1-1 and SEND from your handset. $1.49 per call plus airtime.

Per-call charge for 411 Connect may vary when your phone's banner displays "Extended Network" or "Roaming."

Basic Voice Mail

Voice Mail takes a caller's message when you can't answer the phone. You will receive a message waiting indicator to let you know that a message has been left for you.

Not available in some areas.

Airtime applies to message retrievals from your wireless phone. Voice Mailboxes not initialized within 60 days (45 in some markets) of feature activation will be canceled. IN Calling does not apply to Voice Mail retrieval. Verizon Wireless is not liable for missed Voice Mail messages, or deletions of messages from your Voice Mailbox, even if you've saved them. Your Verizon Wireless Voice Mailbox is not password protected until you initialize it by following the tutorial prompts to select a password and record a voice signature and personalized greeting.

Call Forwarding

Forward your calls to another phone number, including your home or office number. Your wireless phone will not ring until you deactivate the service. Airtime applies to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones. When forwarding calls to phone numbers outside your local calling area, you'll be billed for any toll, long distance, and airtime charges incurred. Additional per-minute charges may apply to all forwarded calls.

This feature is also known as "Immediate Call Forwarding".

Not Available in some areas.

Airtime applies to all simultaneous calls and to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones.

Call Waiting

This feature lets you know when another caller is trying to reach you while you're on another call. You will hear a short tone. After you hear the Call Waiting tone, you'll have approximately 30 seconds to answer before the second caller hears a standard message or is forwarded to your Voice Mailbox. If you answer the call, airtime and other usual charges will apply to both calls until you end one call.

Not Available in some areas.

Airtime applies to all simultaneous calls and to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones.

Caller ID

See the caller's phone number before you take the call. Caller ID may display the name and number of the person calling on your wireless phone (for all unblocked numbers). It may also display the name of the person if you've stored it in your phone's memory. Calls can usually be returned by pressing one button. Caller ID is not available on all calls, on all equipment or in all areas.

New Every Two®

Get a free phone (up to $100) every two years. You're automatically enrolled when you sign up and maintain two years of service on a select digital calling plan with monthly access of $34.99 or higher. At the end of the two years, renew your service for another two years and you will qualify for a new digital phone up to a $100 value! Or you can receive a $100 credit toward the purchase of a new phone. Either way, you'll be sure to have the latest wireless technology.

You must retain the same wireless handset for 24 months in order to receive the full advantages of this program. If you choose to replace your handset at a discounted price prior to completing 24 months of enrollment in the program, you will forfeit your benefits and be automatically reenrolled in the program. If you enrolled in the program on or after 11/25/02, you must take advantage of the New Every Two offer within six months of becoming eligible; otherwise, you may be charged full retail price to upgrade your current handset. Discount amount will be applied toward the two-year Customer Agreement retail price. Additional Family SharePlan® lines are not eligible to participate in the program. The amount of any available mail-in rebate may apply against and reduce the amount of the New Every Two credit.

No Answer/Transfer

When activated, calls will be forwarded to another number after approximately 4-6 rings. Long distance charges may be incurred. Airtime charges apply.

Not Available in some areas.

Airtime applies to forwarded/transferred calls even if you send the call to wireline telephones.

I bought several Verizon Ringtones and then upgraded to a new phone. According to the Ringtone Terms and Conditions, I have a license to use these ringtones for a year. However, Verizon wants me to re-purchase the ringtones I hold a year-long license to

Verizon provides excellent coverage/service. I am, however, increasingly disappointed in their customer service for signing me up for services I did not request and then for not removing the erroneous charges as promised. It can be a real headache to get things cleared up, but the coverage is the best, bar none.
